CO₂ lasers produce fine laser beams which supply heat directly to a specific area of the skin. This allows the healthy skin to produce new collagen for a softer, more youthful look.

The service typically lasts between 30 minutes and two hours. All patients are different but this service can cause discomfort. It is recommended that patients take Extra Strength Tylenol prior to the service. Your doctor may numb the skin with local anesthetics or prescribe a stronger pain relief medication depending upon the type and level of service being provided. Your face will be cleaned and you will be given eye protection prior to the service beginning.

CO₂ lasers provide a more intense resurfacing service. After the skin is healed, expect a soft, smooth more youthful appearance.

Commonly treats wrinkles, blotchiness, age spots, acne scars, etc. It can be used to resurface the entire face or specific problem areas. The CO2 laser treatment can also be performed to tighten and resurface skin on the body.

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds and tanning creams for one month prior to procedure. Do not wear sunscreen or makeup to your appointment. You are able to take Extra Strength Tylenol for discomfort two hours prior to your appointment. You may bring music on a personal device during the service.

Everyone heals differently and at different rates. Depending on the type of treatment, some people have a rough skin texture for more than one week and have a pink, sun-burned appearance for up to 4-6 weeks. After treatment, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water for several days post-treatment. Your skin may feel rough for the first few days. DO NOT pick at the rough skin. Allow the skin to come off naturally. Use a gentle face wash post-treatment. We will provide a laser balm to be utilized post-treatment until the peeling is complete. After this time, you may begin to utilize your own moisturizer (without any perfumes, dyes or alcohols).

IPL uses short blasts of a polychromatic, high-intensity light to penetrate just below the skin’s surface, damaging either the melanin that makes up brown “age spots” or the blood vessels that create broken capillaries. The skin repairs the damage, leaving you with a more even skin tone. IPL is also touted as a way to boost collagen and elastin.

Treatment consists of placing a hand piece against the surface of the skin and activating the laser. Many patients describe each pulse as feeling similar to the snapping of a rubber band against the skin. Topical anesthetic may be applied but is not
