Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are one of the most popular, nonsurgical options for solving aging skin problems. They enjoy many of the benefits of a surgical facelift without the downtime. Dermal fillers, also known as “injectables” fill in the area under the skin to restore collagen that is lost due to the normal aging process.

How do Dermal Fillers Work? What is the Technology?
Dermal Fillers consist of natural and synthetics. If you have sensitive skin you may want to consider natural dermal fillers. These fillers use ingredients already found in your body so they are less likely to react with your skin. FDA-approved natural fillers have either hyaluronic acid or collagen as the major active ingredient. They plump and correct the contours of the skin. They are commonly referred to as Juverderm, Voluma, Restylane and
Belotero.
What can I expect during the treatment?
Dermal fillers are injected beneath the skin of the treated area with a small needle. Treatments can last from 6 months to several years. You can maintain your look with periodic touch ups. You may experience swelling or minor bruising that will fade within a few days. Remember not to rub the treated area so that the filler material remains undisturbed.
What are the results?
Dermal fillers are designed to effectively reduce the appearance of wrinkles, contour the face and create volume.
Clients will notice:
- Youthful fullness to face
- Softening of fine lines and facial creases
- Plump lips
- Increased volume to shallow contours in the face
Are Dermal Fillers Safe?
There is no downtime with fillers. You can resume normal activity following the procedure. You’ll likely experience swelling or a bit of bruising, which should fade within a few days.
