Pre-Treatment Care
To decrease the chance for bruising at the draw site, please avoid all blood thinning medications and herbal supplements for one week prior to your appointment. Also avoid taking Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin and Aleve for one week.
Post-Treatment Care
Within the first 24 hours of treatment, apply an ice pack to the treated area for a few minutes at a time. This will help reduce common swelling. Massage the treated area for five minutes, five times per day after treatment or as specifically recommended by the physician. Avoid excess sunlight and UV exposure until any initial swelling and redness goes away. The physician will provide specific guidelines on sunscreen protection.
